No matter how many times I try to find an objective reason for why people support Republicans, I always come up with the following: Lifelong party association, peer pressure, corporate interests, a Christian crusade mentality or someone living a life in fear. Orca, have I missed anything?

Don't know how you can support Bush...and sleep at night. Should I support Kerry or other anti-American democrats instead? Joe Lieberman(a great democrat IMO) is ignored by the dem party. Until the party wakes up and starts embracing people like Lieberman who want to take a tough stand on terrorism, they will remain almost irrelevant. At this point in history, we must take the fight to them(the terrorists and the states which harbor them), and thankfully, a majority of the American people understand this. FWIW, I had a talk with a friend of mine yesterday who is a lifelong dem and he agreed with me on this point. And BTW, I sleep very well at night supporting Bush.
