Many things are a pain in the butt
but are not "bad"

For example:

getting the car smogged is a pain in the butt,
but is not "bad"

international flights are a pain the butt, but are not bad

heightened security at the airports is a pain in the butt, but is not "bad"

People jump to all sorts of conclusions, I really can't be responsible for that.
I try to use words very specifically. If I had meant bad I probably would have said bad. Be careful with those inferences, they can be a pain in the butt.
