Religion can be escapist. There is a lot of good work to do here on Earth and it won't get done if we are all kneeling! That is the truth. I have a friend who was raised a Christian and he feels that the name of Christ has been dragged through the dirt by the more vocal sects Why is it some love Christ and make him out to be this amazing individual? All the while others would portray him as judging and angry? It is sad the condemnation some people operate from. They just don't understand God's saving grace. It honestly makes me sad to think about.
