I heard the same BS. No balls. They've simply got no balls. What's more, Bush's beligerence toward Syria in this situation is utterly political, which is to say, not the least bit diplomatic. The whole Arab world wants Syria out. Instead of working through them and allowing Syria some face, Bush talks tough, galvanizing opposition in Lebanon, and provides the Arab world yet one more reason to hate us for just so he can claim credit for end of Syrian occupation.

Rather was great as a reporter. He lost it when he became anchor. Never came across to me as a real person.

I liked Rather also. He received a bum rap given his 40 years in the biz and, as usual, the corporate media took advantage and hid. Well, that stalwart of namby pambyism in retirement Walter Cronkite (yep, the one who dresses in drag at the Bohemian Grove) apparently REALLY whacked Rather upside the head. Apparently, Cronkite is pissed that he retired too early and no one cares what he says any longer.

Nice guys.

The political talk shows are more annoying than anything else. They have exactly 1 and 1/10th views on them (they can't muster up 2 POVs) and they can't do a decent (and obvious to a high schooler) follow up question. Sometimes the McLaughlin Group gets in a good show AND they don't have commercials.

The 2008 ticket is supposed to be: Clinton vs Rice. Add in Obama/McCain and we have a 4 ring circus. Add in a Constitutional challenge by the Boobengrabber and it gets to be the dumbest race since 2004.
