I think of one of my favorite movies: Groundhog Day. Bill Murray's character isn't all THAT bad. He's just a seriously stunted, self-centered, egomaniac. But he's almost benign other than being a bit of a putz. My guess is that he was in Punxsutawney for between 2,000 and 50,000 years. Dahmer, well, maybe a trillion, trillion, trillion years. It would take a long time to sweep the slate clean and he'd have to see it from both sides for a long time. JMHO.
