We have no choice. We have to support Israel. Besides, it is the right thing to do. We can never let Israel down. <<<How much thought went into this? Do you realize that Israel was founded as a Jewish state on land that was primarily owned by Muslims, those Muslims were largely kicked out during Israel's war of independence and not allowed to return to land that they owned after the war finished, not granted citizenship in the land Israel now occupied and made homeless?>>> I don't entirely disagree with you. I think the British were largely responsible for this state of affairs. But what can you do about it? The Arabs are not going to get that land back. It is too late for that. War should be unthinkable. There has to be a compromise. I have a lot of sympathies for the Palestinians in the area. The realities are the Western World will not let the Jewish people in Israel be harmed - especially after what they have gone through in the early part of the past century. On the other hand, the Arab world owe it to themselves to clean up their act, get up to speed, and take care of their own people. Israel is not their only problem. There is a lot more they can do beside going to war with Israel.
