It's hard to abide by those advance directives, even when you KNOW it's totally what the person wanted. I was just about ready to over ride my mother's directive and ask for extreme measures when she died. When you love someone, even when you KNOW it's what they want, sometimes it is almost impossible to let them go. If it were my child, I think it would be impossible.
