Sorry -- you know he is a slut and you are just dreaming ... things aren't going to change any time soon.

C'mon join the train along with AG and Bushie -- we are doing the "ownership" society dance. <vbg>

>>A little shock treatment now might be what the doctor ordered<<

It was just what the Doctor ordered in 1997 or maybe 2001...at this point this Ponzi scheme is going under no matter what. Higher rates fast would help get the snowball rolling downhill a little faster, so it might bring the bottom around sooner ultimately, but that ain't BubbleBoy's style. It was funny to hear him say that though, like he expected someone in the ClownGress to take ownership of the idea that "rates need to go up", so the blame for the ultimate denouement could be shifted to them and away from him (where it rightly belongs).

Russ or thread members : back to Koizumi's pull the tablecloth out from the dollar table trick speech....
Only thing that makes sense to me is that the G7 decided to try to increase spec positions again so as to have something around to give a bit of oomph to a short covering raly in the $....
It makes no sense for Japan to undermine the dollar with speeches like that...

Seems like the FED was way late raising rates in 2000 and now with housing bubbles. Either they are braindead or...simply lost control...
