both Dubya and Laura are heavy cigarette smokers, I believe the food taster, and am glad of it. The smoking would have been outed by now. Too many reporters get close to them, and the smell would be a giveaway.

Dubya has a food taster. The Secret Service closely monitors the president's food and has for decades.

Item #1 - both Dubya and Laura are heavy cigarette smokers, although they don't smoke in public, ever. Is that one of those Zen things? If no one ever sees you smoking, are you really smoking? More seriously, though, I kind of doubt it. If they can be in front of the public for hours on end without looking like they need a cigarette, they can probably kick the habit. Besides, George works out, he runs on a tread mill. Smoking just does not go with running. No way he smokes cigarettes.
