Ted, It won't extend to where it does not apply. So how come "equal protection" applies to gay marriage but not to incest? Because you think one is harmful to the general population but the other isn't? What about someone who thinks both are harmful? Just because it upsets your biblical sensibilities does not make it harmful to society. Do they get no say? A constitutional democracy doesn't have a lot of room for personal biases.
