I so agree.

The government seems to buy at the top and sell at the bottom, no matter who is in charge. Just plain stupid.

I've never gotten too worked up over the drilling issues myself.

I would be glad to have them drill off the coast of Florida so long as the rigs aren't visible from the shore. They make good structure for fish and provide high-paying blue collar jobs, of which we have very little. Louisiana and Texas have been drilling offshore for a long time and their waters seem healthy enough.

I think one thing the democrats sometimes forget is that people have to be able to earn a decent living. One of my favorite movies is "Local Hero," about a Texas oil firm that wants to drill off a Scottish island. The best line from the movie is "you can't eat scenery."
