Men have a way of adding to the simplicity of Christ and perverting the message. Jesus just wants people to be born again and accept Him. Then tell others and show His love. The American Christian Church today wants to subjugate the world to their brand of Christianity and are walking away from the simplicity of Christ. When Jesus walked with us He was asked many times to become involved in politics and He always refused. He did not care that Israel was ruled by the Romans. He was here for one thing only, to show God's love to men and save some. The American Christian Church today has embraced politics and walked away from their first calling. They are lead by some very high profile and famous ministers who are leading them into a pit as the word says. Robertson, Falwell, and James Kennedy to name just a few have preached a new militant political Christianity that has nothing at all to do with Jesus and the "great commission". It's all wrong. But if you tell a Christian they are not serving Christ by following this new political militant dogma you will see fire and brimstone before your eyes!! Just as when Jesus was here the first time and He said the Pharisees had it all wrong so it is today. The Church and government are fusing into one big ugly beast and watch out when that process is completed.
