I haven't any idea. I think he had like 20 children and there were allegations that he had abused the state's welfare facilities as well.

I just remember thinking at the time that a guy who fervently believes in a religion that permits (or even insists upon) polygamy ought to be able to practice his religion without government interference. There was an issue that one of the wives was only (dare I say it?) 13 when they were married.

I don't know. Just struck me as strange a person couldn't do that if they chose to.
