- Florida court orders the starvation of an invalid? States' rights. You guys complain about activist judges, until they uphold the law (the law on the books at the time) on a cause "conservatives" have decided to take on, to create their typical spectacle, at which point the wingnuts change the law to give federal courts appeal path. And, now a fed judge has reviewed the case and decided that the 19 hearings held heretofore were adjudicated correctly, and it is unlikely that the case would yield different results in a fed court. I suppose it's possible that an appellate court would see it differently, but until then, what the hell are guys talking about? Al

Steve, it's simple. Liberal views on states' rights changes with the wind, but their view of judicial activism doesn't. So then, you approve of the action Delay took in Congress with regards to T. Schiavo? ted

"No wonder they're fighting tooth-n-nail against Bush's judicial appointees" The 6 or 8 they have blocked hardly counts as tooth and nail. The Republicans blocked 60 of Clinton's appointments.
