Maybe Schiavo's parents should have argued on the basis of "equal protection."

The Schiavo matter is not a constitutional issue...eg: a federal matter. It is a STATE LAW ISSUE. Congress has made it a federal issue with this cockamamie law it passed in the middle of the night. I suspect the constitutionality of IT will be challenged very quickly.

Al, You guys complain about activist judges, until they uphold the law (the law on the books at the time)

So you're all for upholding the law, except in cases where activist judges use the Swiss army knife of "equal protection" to carve out new law.

Maybe Schiavo's parents should have argued on the basis of "equal protection."

You are beginning to sound more and more like Harris.

Democracy..........such a hard concept for the right to get!
