re: I understand this issue.

Me too, different situation, same result. It's always the same result, it's a matter of how you get there. It's never easy to make decisions when it's someone you love and remember as another person, and it's life or death.

That's why I feel sorry for all the family members. This never should have been in the papers, and certainly never should have gone to the federal level. I can understand how the family members, on both sides, got to where they are. What I can't understand is how our media and politicians let themselves get dragged into this thing.

Imagine a world where the media and the politicians had respect for privacy, and made an effort to understand and respect what was news and what was people's private tragedy. That's the country I grew up in.

All he hears from is the wingnuts. And that's all he sees when he goes to visit his wife. Its too bad.

Dying a dignified death is a form of evolution we have not yet reconed with. My own dad lives a life of misery today...alzheimer and parkison's have reduced him to a staring, uncomprehending vegetative state. He will never recover. I understand this issue.

I am sorry to hear it. My friend's mother just got diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Its a terrible disease.

"I understand this issue. "

I am sorry to hear that. Such knowledge is very expensive in personal coin. I suspect that a big reason why such a large percentage of people polled is that too many have paid similar prices or had people close who have.
