ALthough it's easy to point a finger at the ones you know and the US certainly dominates the world news, from what I've seen and read, the US does not have a monopoly on laziness, crooks, swindlers, con artists, etc.

One has to search a bit to find them elsewhere, but part of that might be that there is a large percentage of us who abhor this type of behavior and don't just sit idly by as others may. Many in the US tend to want to get involved and to express themselves.

If anything, there is a dichotomy. There certainly is a class of those who take whatever they can get. Corporate management is a favorite target of mine. But, again, from what I read, as we are very gradually attacking the problem here, other nations are imitating the worst excesses.

Did you see the article yesterday about China and the swindlers there? It has apparently killed much of their stock market.
