"By how incredibly easy it is for people to get their hands on guns, including criminals and kids"

How do they do it? Funny you have no examples.

"By the fact that gun registration is not required,"

Are you sure about this? Certainly not the case in CA. And from what I have learned in an actual fire arm safety class the serial number of a gun is recorded at the time of the sale and is accesable to law enforcement agencies when a crime happens with a gun. Not positive, but I think you are wrong. I am postive you are wrong in CA. And I know also that I had to go through a national background check to get a gun.

"and even proclaim that the solution is to arm themselves..."

For some people it is. The arrogance of those like you who know the answers for everybody is mind boggling. I have no problem if you do not want to own a gun or if you think it is wrong personally to use one in self defense (as fresca does).

But I do resent you (and people like you) telling ME what I should or should not do to protect myself, my family and my property. Arrogance at an unbelievable level imo.
