Orca, Re: Hijacking religion is something that is practiced by all leaders with an agenda. You may be painting with too broad a brush. While it is true that America is being driven into the 13th Century by despicable scoundrels like Bush, Frist and Scalia, one cannot make this broad accusation stick in the case of the Soviets, who did a very noble thing by trying to contain superstition within the Russian society, but who inadvertently killed off the patient with the cure. The Soviet leaders found a completely areligious way to be monsters.
