Well then maybe I should change my investment strategy to accommodate the rising USD? I think I'll take a 30% loss on energy and PM stocks in order to get that 1/4% rise in interest rates by putting my money in the bank. I'll be rich ??

Taikun,

Another factor in raising the rates is so the Fed has some ammunition for fight deflation. Japan has proved that zero rates are not the answer. So, some is the rise is just the Fed reloading.
