In the meantime, the US, which is the world's biggest arms seller, has authorized the sale of sophisticated jets to Pakistan, against the very legitimate concerns of India. This sale, of course is advertised as a thank you gift from Bush to his most loyal helpful local dictator.

The biggest recipient of US aid and military largess is of course Israel. And Israel, never missing an opportunity to make money, resells arms and technology throughout the world, undermining in many instances US policy. It is really quite astounding.
