It's amazing to me that people take one case, one person, a situation that happens 100 times a day in this country, and want to revise our system of justice.

That's the next thing the right will be pushing after the Schiavo case.

Agreed. This Terry case has been jumped on by the media, and that's why its getting all the press. It reminds me of the Scott Peterson case - it was a totally common crime, and not worthy of national news. Why Terry gets all this attention and other "right to life" cases don't get attention is beyond me.

Hell, let's do away with the courts! Just let the legislative or executive branch make every decision.

That is one of the biggest stawmen I've ever seen on SI. And that's saying a lot.
