That is the point. How are you gonna over throw your gov(if they get real nasty) without guns? That's why the Fathers made it the 2nd amendment. The government is supposed to be imperial. The left believes that government must be made stronger and more pervasive, and not be overthrown. Those of us in the center (and those on the right) prefer individual freedom to government intervention. Those on the left appear to worship big government.
