seeing more of the christian right sticking their noses in other parents decisions Why do you so persistently miss the point? Or, are you intentionally trying to mislead the argument? What makes this situation unique is that the courts have given the power of life and death to an estranged husband rather then to the girl's loving caring parents. Yes, decisions to pull the plug are made a thousand times a day all over this country. They are always left up to family. I have no problem having her parents choosing to terminate the young woman's misery. My problem, and that of most others supporting Terri, is that the decision is left up to a profiteering piece of crud who abandoned Terri many years ago when he started a new life with another woman.

Frankly, I was unaware till now that they would just stop feeding and hydrating a person. I knew that it isnt unusual to PULL THE PLUG, but I thought it was more of a breathing/heart lung type of thing. I also knew of course of instructions often given for no rescessitation or whatever. Secondly, what you are ignoring is the OPPOSITION within the family. I dont even have a problem NORMALLY of a spouse having say, BUT when there appears to be a MAJOR CONFLICT OF INTEREST and THE OTHER SIDE is NOT EVEN ALLOWED to get their case in the court and be heard, one has to WONDER. Regardless what they say about Judge Greer, IMHO he is AN IDIOT. All of this could have been avoided IF he allowed FULL AND COMPLETE TESTIMONY into the record. jdn
