Have I got it right?

I have had some interesting conversations in the past with "Christian Libertarians" about suicide. They are against it, of course. If you believe you don't have the "right" to take your own life, it means you think you don't own it. You think it is God's property.

So I would say that the religious/secular split shows up in this case. Most "liberal Christians" think suicide is fine. What they do of course, is throw out any need to follow a creed. It's a "my Christianity is what I say it is," kind of philosophy.

Do you at least acknowledge a distinction between active suicide - blowing your brains out - and passive suicide - removing high technology life support.
