Any THINKING person
I appreciate your compliment to my logical capabilities. I bow to you, Dr. Einstein.

When Bush made a special trip back to Washington on a weekend to sign that private bill involving Schiavo, THAT wasn't a political act?

Anyone who tries to make this into a political issue is the one that will be hurt, not the compassionate one.
It was made into a political issue A LONG TIME AGO, JDN. By your side.

Legally, absent designation of another in a written medical power of attorney, a spouse has authority to make (legal) medical decisions for a person if they are incapacitated. The spouse is legally closest kin. Schiavo's parents went to court to get legal custody of their daughter to interrupt that legal authority. That's when the political circus began.
