I think there has been nothing in the way of alternative fuel funding from the US ... I posted on the Cisco thread that the energy dept recently entered into a deal with GM to invest a dinky 100mm in fuel cell vehicles.... whoopee we just spent hundreds of billions on iraq for gods sake. If anything threatens the US security it is this ridiculous dependence on oil. Anyway another thing would be to *incent* detroit to build hybrid cars.... any progress there NO.

The solution is not to drill for more oil it is to GET OFF oil. If everybody drove a hybrid would we as a nation have the same issue with oil dependency... no.

gvtucker,

Are you willing to have a new refinery built in your backyard?

I'd prefer to have the refinery built in your backyard and not mine. <ggg>

That is the now current "American way" -- I want to benefit, but I do not want to sacrifice!

Best regards,

Dave
