Hi John, I am sure you're a nice person too, so please don't take these comments personally. I sometimes lack the writing skill to put my thoughts in proper third person perspective.

I see your response as a reflection of what is wrong with the Democrat party. Instead of looking inward, you've done just want most in the Democrat party do, you lashed outward toward your opponents.

Strategy means nothing unless you're going to deal with the real inner person (or in this case the people who make up the Democrat party). What are the guiding principles the Democrat party stands for? What are the values they stand for?

If all they keep doing is lashing out and saying "I am not an evil Republican". Their support will continue to erode with the American people. It really doesn't matter if you can go through a one-by-one person comparison and win the leadership argument in your head, it's perception that counts. And that perception has been dramatically altered by the Clintons politics of personal destruction, win at all cost attitude. It worked great for getting Bill and Hillary elected, but served to kill the rest of the party by igniting a latent obstructionist attitude as being one which will win elections.

They were the catalyst who put partisanship ahead of country, they were the ones who cared more about who controlled the travel office than the career of a decent public servant, who cared more to get political mud on their enemies by hijacking nearly a thousand FBI files. They were the catalyst which convinced others to "do anything, say anything (like a used car salesman would) to get elected.

The Clinton stain will be with your party for a long time John, until and unless you first recognize it exists, and then do something to get rid of it.

Just watch as the stain come forth and spreads even wider when the party crowns Hillary in 3 years. It will astound you, and the damage will continue to escalate.
