The fact that Kerry is significantly left of center has never been questioned by any not a member of the far left.

The same survey that you guys always cite that put Kerry as the most liberal Senator in 2003 (in a year where he was running for President and didn't show up much) put him right around the 75th percentile for his career.

And the far-ish left didn't identify very well with him. They liked Dean better. Which was funny, because other than his stance on the war, Dean was considered a moderate his entire career, which is why he didn't get reelected in VT.
