you are less likely to try to rob a store in a city that allows the storeowners to carry.

Do you watch Law and Order? Is it my imagination that store owners usually have a gun under the counter? Do you think that is an inaccurate portrayal? If not, do you think the criminals don't believe that the owners have guns because the city has no carry law?

I am claiming that when people are allowed to carry, and that is known to criminals, criminals will go elsewhere to engage in their activity.

That has a certain intuitive appeal, but who knows if it's so? And who knows if people walking around packing in NYC wouldn't do more harm than good?

As I mentioned, Richmond has a high black population and Virginia has concealed carry all over the state, so look at Richmond.

Maybe New Orleans and Atlanta, as Louisiana and Georgia are also concealed carry states.
