Isn't it interesting how governments aren't putting anything in place in terms of alternatives? That says to me peak oil isn't here.

Excellent point, nothing left but for the second shoe to drop and scoop up your bet. <g>.

D, How proactive are Governments... ? Except for dictatorships eliminating enemies that is...

Awash ?

We have lots of oilsands... and likely more and more will become recoverable... think Dent...

Then there is oilshale in the US... possibly more than oilsands ??

Russia has oilsands which we think may never be exploited... half of Canada's (well not until needed and economical anyway)

CBM anyone and then there is LNG...

I still think Coxe is correct on the strategic issue.. How on earth can the US feel at all secure relying so much on off continent energy ? This puts a floor under the price of oil methinks and I would say gives credence to Bob's position on conventional oil..

we aren't awash in 10$ oil.... ;O)

Kastel

EDIT... BTW... biz.yahoo.com
Still my second largest trust holding....

reconsidering VET.UN here... low yield and will it be going up or down in the near term ?

curious why you say so? for your statement to be true, 2 things must be true:
1) governements know if there is peal oil situation or not
2) goverenments act rationally aon that knowledge.
