The Bush Administration stands for Corruption and Fascism. That right wingers, frightened to death of Communism a generation ago, are supporting this kind of anti-American tyranny is mind-boggling.

It would boggle Ronald Reagan's mind.

After all, right wingers and red staters love that promoter of the Communist State: WALMART. After all, right wingers and red staters love that promoter of IOUs to said Communist State: Bush.

Bush also LOVES Vlad who is throwing Russia back into tyranny very publicly and very purposefully. Bush loves Musharref who is a military dictator. Eh? Huh? Freedom and liberty?

Utter and absolute childish nonsense.

================ I would still like some 'journalist' to figure out who gave money to Allawi's List and the Shiia party to run slick campaign ads? Of course such an investigation is illegal under Bremmer's rules. That's democracy?

Utter and absolute childish nonsense.

"I would challenge your first supposition, that the Bush administration stands for liberty and justice."

Go ahead and challenge it? Would you start by adding a link to the place where I made such a statement. I am getting old and seem to have forgotten having made such a proclamation. I would, however, be happy to pursue that as a topic.

And as far as dougr's comment, do you deny that:

1.depleted uranium weapons have been used in Iraq
2.that people exposed to those weapons or areas where they have been used could develop the symptoms (or worse) described, or
3.that Bush is ultimately responsible for the use of the weapons there?

That list is a little gappy for me to comment on. For starters, it does not address dougr's allegation at all. dougr's comment indicated an insidious desire specifically by bush to cause the death and damage to the infants of his troops. You could tone that down to wanton disregard for their well being if you could establish bush's knowledge of absolute cause and effect relationships. At this point we have some, information and some conflicting information; we have some believers and some skeptics, so the wanton disregard allegation does not hold up too well. At best we could agree that every effort should be put forth to determine the cause and effect relationships and that once the data is in, we should take immediate action to correct any harmful practices that are proven to exist.

dougr's allegations (and your bolstering of them) at this point are simply mendacious political hack conspiracy theories. Pretty common on these threads but hard for any thinking person to consider that as serious concern for the well being of others.
