I do not like the idea of so many US leaders converging on the same site at the same time in a Mediterranean country, while we are at war in the ME.

I recognize the names of a lot of Catholics on that list, assume they are pretty much all Catholics. Yes, some are pro-abortion, but one can hope for a conversion.

I don't think this is a good time to be snarky about anybody's faith. JMHO. "Judge not, lest ye be judged."

What about pro-death penalty folks or pro war folks. Pope was pro life--pro everyones life including murderers as well as unborn children. Does he hate the executioner any less than the doctor who performs the abortion? I would maintain that he hated neither as people, just what they did and of course there was always room for forgiveness in this man's wonderful heart. Pope wasnt a right winger or a left winger. He was intellectually consistent however in his views and set a very high standard for all peoples and all government whether he was right about everything or not. Mike
