My biggest disappointment in computer science was that no great truths were not needed to build computers. The most difficult problems were handled by tables where the answer was simply looked up. Logic has profound limitations as a tool in truth discovery due to the problem of agreeing upon a set of common foundational statements. Some problems are trivial. The more interesting ones are transcendental.

Well that was very fun. I took the philosophical health check test. There are no wrong or right answers--the test measures contradictions in your belief system. I scored in the 20th percentile re tensions in mine, which is low. There is an interesting discussion of every tension the test identifies.

Well worth taking! Thanks!
