Hi Laz,

I was shocked to find out I had a plaster cast when I woke up
from surgery. I was told I'd have a removable "Moon" cast.

I won't find out all the particulars until I see my surgeon
next Thursday. He talked to my wife briefly after the
surgery. He said that my ankle was worse than they thought it
would be. Apparently the severed ligaments were in worse
shape than they expected (he said they were "flimsy").

When I had the accident, my ankle was turned perpendicular to
my leg (at least 90°, perhaps more). Even though my knee
injury was more severe (or so I thought at the time), my
ankle was more painful, so I knew it was a fairly serious
injury. Heck, it was still grossly unstable 8 1/2 months
later.

RE: Celebrex - doesn't that just suck! I finally find a non
steroidal that actually provided at least moderate relief &
it turns out it can kill you!!

Anyway, thanks for the kind words & the heads up on Celebrex!

Tim
