I would imagine there must be a female Catholic Priest somewhere in the USA - or do you think Muslims were first?

There are no Catholic women priests. However, due to the shortage of priests, there are women who do a lot of the work in churches that normally the priest would do but they are not allowed to give Mass. I can't remember what they are called but its not priest.
