Actually, no... they have no official policy position as a national organization on that.

The local people, as I understand it, are free to do what they want --- but WITHOUT claiming that it is 'AARP's position'.

The national group would have to vote on that.

It is interesting that the liberals are rushing in to defend the AARP. If the AARP were politically neutral you would think they would not give a rip. But they obviously think that AARP is important enough to them that they have to jump in.
