Thanks, it did -- and there they are on my desktop (I hadn't noticed that icon, it's a crowded desktop!), which is the good news. The bad news is that when I click on the icon, I get first the warning that i'm opening a file of type "office data file (pst.)," (and that editing or modifying it could damage my system), and when I try to open them, veeerrrry carefully, choosing from the "open with" list either MSWord, IE, Notepad or Wordpad, what I see is code, lots of zeros and squares.

Shadowman, yes, it's Outlook, not OE....

I wasn't able to figure out from the Help menu (or MS links) how to *read* my archived messages, but I was able to change the date on which they get auto-archived to January 2003.

Also, I'm grateful for a PM telling me how to find the number of kb's in my Inbox and Sentbox, and reassuring me that my total for the Sent and In Boxes is 126,000 kb's (126 mb) is not alarming -- his recommendation is not to let it get over 600 mb, and the real danger zone is supposed to be 2000 mb. So it's good to know I don't need to be anxious about this yet! Thanks, all, for being so helpful.
