Goldnet, if you are charitable, that's great. So how about writing your rightwing congressmen to stop cutting help to the poor, health care, environmental regulation, etc., and to do a little taxation of the rich to help balance our budgets? Giving money to a politicized rightwing church is not charity, that's more of a political donation. Many rightwing churches have gone over the line and that's supposed to be illegal. We saw plenty of that in the Schiavo case where the GOP and rightwing churches operated in tandem and probably cross-collateralized funds. We've also sen it as guys like Ralph Reed have become well-paid no-show employees of companies like Enron. But as Tom Delay falls, perhaps so will the over-zealous political hate-churches as their scams will be more and more exposed.
