particularly when he would slurp his food. I believe you, but slurping boiling hot bowls of ramen is a much better way of consuming them than being neat and quiet. Trust me, try it both ways (slurping and eating quietly), and you'll definitely prefer the slurp method. But it aint socially acceptable in the US (and its socially required in Japan, don't slurp, and folks are going to think you're weird).
