I wish somebody would post some more of those true bottoms.

Gottfried, what has that got to do with AMAT's stock price.
You and I have seen it drag along the bottom for many months
over the years and it has risen when global economic
indicators, consumer demand, and fab expansion have been
catalysts. Will AMAT's price rise again? If history is any
guide, YES, but the questions are: how high will it go and
what will determine the upper value? Again, value is a matter
of investor perception, emotion, and demand. I'm not
doubting that AMAT's business is solid and that it will make money and be governed properly, but something needs to stimulate investors to be willing to buy more stock at increasingly higher prices.
