Some Iraqis are patrolling roads at checkpoints. How many months of "training" do you think they should receive to patrol the road at the checkpoint? I would not want to be the the army mate of a soldier who is patrolling Baghdad's roads, green on 8 weeks of training....it just takes much longer to train a soldier properly to have the discipline and the steady nerves to respond to emergencies. And it takes a very long time to build cohesiveness of military units. Otherwise, you are sending dangerous greenhorns with guns (big ones) out in the streets. Al
