Montana sheep ranch that I worked on had many times over a thousand yews. The barn was used for the at risk, all others were held in outdoor pasture. It snowed..... Bill would skin the dead lambs... put that skin on a live one who'd lost it's mother.... trying to fool the misscarried yew into accepting the young'n... worked many times. Think they call it scabbing...? That year they dropped more doubles then ever before. Sleep was a rare thing for a few weeks.
