Well its not about Crime at all. For example since felons are not allowed to own guns to begin with, they are protected by the 5th Amendment from registering guns required to be registered by law. The real reasons behind the anti-gunners motives are all about power. Power to squelch free speech, squelch freedom of religion, power to squelch unlawful searches and seizures and the ability to detain people without due process thus dis-establishing the right of habeous corpus. Its all about politics. They want to shut up all their political opponents. Their real politics are Marxism and practical application of Marxism requires the disolution of ALL rights as they challenge the power of the State. Without such powers all systems of Marxism fail immediately.
