Mas

Yikes!

If this is anywheres near correct Intel's Whitefield will outperform K9 in Integer, draw far less power and be available a year earlier!

That's devastating...

And Xeon Woodcreat at little over 25% the power of Dual-core Opteron and higher performance to boot!

Geschätz = Estimated = Guessing
heise.de

Pat Gelsinger visited CT a couple of years ago.
..talked about Intel wanting to become a 100 Bio$ Co.
..talked about a 10 GHz processor

Since then , I noticed a change in the reporting style !
I cancelled my 15 year old Abbonement shortly after !
Shame really!

In the 80's and 90's - many articles were supplied by University students etc.
Seems now to be much more commercially orientated.

IIRC: DC K8 = K9. 2007 is for K10. I agree with anyone that thinks it's a bit of a stretch to call a DC K8 a K9, but I think that's what AMD did.

Mighty impressive that Stiller knows K10 performance...
