You and Mike are never going to agree on anything.

I couldn't care less if he and I agree. I'd just as soon we disagree. Agreement is boring. My interest is in getting insights into different points of view. My experience has always been that people love to talk about themselves and will go on endlessly as long as you show an interest in them or their ideas. But this place is just the opposite. Getting any elaboration or explanation is endlessly frustrating and I haven't been able to figure out why.

You disagreed with my assertion that an exception for the health of the woman would result in the universal claim of health risk. But you won't tell me what you think is invalid about my assertion. If I'm mistaken, as you say, then I'd like to know why. Then, you see, I can learn something. You simply disagreeing without explanation tells me nothing useful. Makes me crazy to invest so much effort and get nothing but frustration. It's such a simple point. Why can't I get an answer?

And then LB comes along and tells me I've "obviously changed my position" on something or other and I don't even know what position he thinks I've changed let alone from what to what. I haven't changed any positions today, or this week, or longer. What is going on?

So quips keep us talking.

I don't see the point in keeping on talking if no enlightenment ensues.
