<You don't blame other people for your own mistakes.

That's the British way.

Caveat emptor, fair play, and all that.

You don't sit around whining, just pick yourself up and move on.

Oh, I whine a lot! I'm going to rave about Globalstar for the rest of my life. I earbash anyone in range.

Also, I blame other people for Globalstar going wrong. The idiot marketing ideas were what destroyed $10 bn in market capitalisation and wasted $3 bn in actual expenditure.

My mistake was to think the marketers would change their ideas when they saw that they were wrong and I was right. They did not. I relearned yet again how obtuse and self-destructive people can be, like Hu Jintao and his clones [such as Yiwu the Mad and Bubba the Babbling] thinking it might be jolly good idea to annex Taiwan.

I do wonder if part of the "attack Taiwan" motive is to create jingoistic nationalism in the state serfs to keep their minds off the possibility that things should run differently in China. The devil finds work for idle hands and if the mob is foaming at the mouth about a Japanese text book and glowering over the ditch at Taiwan and frowning at King George II looming beyond, then they won't be rampaging in the streets of Beijing demanding Hu Jintao arrange elections, clean air, fewer coal mine disasters and whatever else gets them going.

That's the oldest trick in the book. It's used everywhere and always has been. Tell the young males there's a war looming and their eyes widen, pupils dilate, energy levels zoom and they spend a lot less time trying to displace the alpha males. Then, the young go off to war and the old guys look after the girls back at base and have a feast.
