If you teach the dog to fetch other peoples newspapers, then yes it is immoral.

If you teach the dog to run across a busy highway to fetch a newspaper, that is also immoral, as the dog has no concept of traffic.

Throw up some more straw man analogies.

Comparing the use of animals for war to fetching a newspaper, is the only "stretch" here.
