S2 Thanks for the blog - it's interesting and I added it to my collection...now that I look at all the bookmarks, I have you to thank for a bunch of cool ones! I loved Money Ball - listened to the whole thing driving back from Chicago last year - fascinating stuff. I know Francona and Epstein are believers in the James report body of theory and John Henry ran a hedge fund so they all are quants at heart. One thing I thought was really interesting were batters that forced pitchers to pitch more than 15 pitches per at bat. The correlation coefficient is about .95 to get on base and to score. I know Clappy's team has a 10 year old with a lap top helping him. Altair19
