Depends on the state. If I recall correctly prior to Roe v. Wade, abortion was legal in California, Hawaii and New York. Definitely not legal in Louisiana.

Would lead to some interesting fights.

But "morning after" pills would solve a lot of problems.

Which is why Planned Parenthood and NARAL are attacking pharmacists who refuse to dispense "morning after" pills, trying to get Congress involved.
